MEDITATIVE COLOUR ART
Everything in the whole world is drenched in colour. The light that enables us to see and live our lives comprises all the possible colours in the world. All these colours provide us with a good balance for our body and spirit. When everybody is in harmony and feels happy and optimistic then it makes the world immediately a brighter place.
That’s why I create meditative colour art
What’s so special about meditative colour art ?
A painting may appeal to you because it affects you. The colours may communicate with you in some way or instil a certain mood or bring back memories.
There is so much more to meditative colour art though
The paintings somehow have an effect upon you. It sometimes happens that a person tells me “I feel very much drawn to that purple painting but I don’t really like purple!”
This effect is because that person, at that moment in time, strongly needs the colour purple in their life for the support and strength that this particular colour provides.
Energy
Colour is energy. Colours not only influence our moods but they have healing powers as well. Our body has several energy areas to which certain colours correspond.
When something is wrong with our body or our mind, colours can give us support and make our blocked energy fields flow once again.
The same effect goes for blocked energy fields in your direct surroundings, in your home or at work.
Not only can colours provide energy flow, a colour art painting can also stimulate hopes and dreams. A painting can provide unity in families, help communication flow in companies, make you open up to love, empower you, develop creativity and so on…
Sometimes you go through a period where you are tired, uninterested in new opportunities, maybe you don’t like your job any more and you would like to do something new. In short, you could do with a new positive incentive, a nudge in the right direction. Meditative colour art can be an answer.
Symbolic meaning
Not only do I work with colour, I also use numbers and shapes. By looking at meditative colour art and really getting ‘inside’ a painting you suddenly discover that paintings can have hidden messages. Both colours and shapes tell a story. Sometimes very clearly, and sometimes obscurely whereby certain figures and symbols will emerge from the painting. In the end each painting tells its own story, your own personal story.
The way I work
Maybe you have chosen a painting simply because you like it. That may be enough. But maybe you are curious as to the meaning of your choice.
Why you’ve chosen a particular painting, how the colour affects you, what the symbols appearing in the painting mean. It will all be clarified..
When somebody chooses one of my paintings, I know what that painting may mean for that person. How the painting can work for you.
Maybe you want a painting made especially for you. Your own special, unique painting.
You can commission a painting in two different ways. One way is that you tell me your favourite colour and the other way is that you say “Do as you like Batya!” In both scenarios I need to have a conversation with you about your goals, challenges and aspirations. I will also need your date of birth.
Your date of birth consists of numbers which to me correspond with colours.
If it’s about an individual, a family, a baby, a company or everything together it will all collide in one picture to create a unique work of art.
Studio
My studio is outside. I work under the sun so every painting has sun energy. Inspired by sunlight in spring, summer, autumn and even winter, I choose a colour and after that first choice, the colours naturally keep coming.
That’s how a meditative colour art painting is born. A painting whose sole purpose is to inspire the world around it.
